The moment had arrived, the younger eaglet was going to take its first flight. I watched it spread its wings and jump, getting up its courage. Its sibling flew off the nest a couple of times during this, always returning back to the nest. After approximately 50 minutes, my finger ready to capture the moment - the eaglet took off. His first flight was short, he then returned back where he made a not so graceful landing back onto the nest. He basically crashed into his sibling and the two temporary got tangled up. Below is a series of photos taken at takeoff and landing.
