Great Horned Owl Nest
2024 Season

As you may already be aware, I am a volunteer at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC). I have monitored a number of nests at CBEC over the last few years (see Nest Monitoring in navigation bar above), including this Great Horned Owl. In the 2021 and 2023 nesting season I recorded my observations, including pictures of the owlets as they grew to fledglings.

About the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center

CBEC is a 510 acre non-profit wildlife preserve which includes marshes, meadows, shoreline and native woodland. It is an excellent location for birding.
