There is One Nestling
25 August - The nestling was active today, it appeared at the opening of the cavity for the duration of my observation. One of the adults was a bit vocal at times. I moved to the area to try to find out who he was warning, but I did not see anything. At one point a Northern Cardinal and Carolina Chickadee joined in, but I did not see the target and the other birds left the area. The other adult continued to feed the nestling. Getting a better look at the nestling, I don’t think it will be fledging tomorrow.
Observation - 1hr

On my way out I checked on the other nest (last two pictures). I noticed the parent when feeding went almost all the way in. It could be a deep cavity or the nestling is not yet ready to be a the opening, a little behind the other nestling.
27 August - The nestling was very active today. He was vocalizing for food and poking its’ head very far out of the cavity. I suspect he will be fledging any time.
