Northern Lapwing

Seen in Queen Anne’s County, MD on 22 Dec 2021 and 9 Jan 2022

Apparently this is only the third reported sighting of a Northern Lapwing in Maryland.

They are usually winters in West Europe, East Atlantic islands and North Africa through Mediterranean, Middle East and Iran across North India to South East China, Korea and Southern Japan.

These are very poor pictures, it was very far away.
