Day Two
We started the day with a visit to Higbee Beach field at about 7:00am. It wasn’t only birds that were migrating, but also Monarch butterflies. We saw a number of them as we birded. I also saw this Painted Lady butterfly.

We then went to Corel Ave to try to see jaegers. We did see two Parasitic Jaegers, but they were pretty far out.
Next we headed back to the Cape May Point State Park and walked the blue path around Bunker Pond and into the wooded area.
Some of the folks from our group went to a place for lunch. I brought mine so I quickly ate and then went back to Bunker Pond to view the waterfowl, starting with the Northern Shovelers.
Someone has to keep an eye out for danger above….

We then went on to Nummy Island and Stone Harbor Point.
