07 April (approximately 31 days old) - Observed these owlets for a bit today. At one point a mob of crows harassed the mother. She then flew to the nest and they left the area.
09 April (approx. 33 days old) - Observed the nest for a while today. During that time we watched a Red-shouldered Hawk go to the tree the mother owl was perched, it vocalized and moved closer to the mother. Once she moved to another branch it took off. Later a Cooper’s Hawk went to the nest tree and was getting closer to the owlets. The owlets were vocalizing a stress call. The mother arrived, whereby the hawk flew off. Right after that the owlets began branching.
04-10-24 (approx. 34 days old) - Short visit today.
04-15-24 (approx. 39 days old) - They have fledged. Did not locate the second owlet. It is not capable of flight yet, so will likely stay in the core territory until it can (approx. 2-3 days). I will not be returning.
