Northern Harrier
Description:
Bold white rump.
Slim bodies.
Long wings.
Long, square off tail.
Prominent facial mask (owl like).
Frequently fly low over field and marshes (hunting) with a side-to-side teetering motion.
Usually hold wings in a prominent dihedral or modified dihedral.
Adult males are snow white underneath and gray above giving them the nickname of the “gray ghost”.
