Their mission - “HMANA advances scientific knowledge and promotes the conservation of raptor populations through the study, enjoyment, and appreciation of raptor migration.” Their website includes a section “New to Hawk Watching?” Another site you may want to consider is Hawk Count (hawkcount.org). This site includes count data and site profiles for over 300 North American Hawkwatch sites. You can find a hawk watch near you with their lookup feature.
